IIMT College of Engineering, Meerut is one of the oldest engineering colleges of AKTU. Students from across the country come to study here. The college provides well furnished hostel facility within the campus for the out-station students. There are separate hostels for boys and girls keeping in view the safety and security. The hostel has a vibrant and friendly atmosphere to make the students feel at home. The hostel offers best lodging and boarding facilities to cater to the needs of the students. Every hostel is supervised by a warden and a faculty-in-charge, who are dedicated and committed towards the safety of the students.
The hostel is furnished with contemporary facilities and a pleasing ambience. All the rooms are spacious, well-maintained and ventilated to make the stay of the students comfortable. There is a separate staff for hostel maintenance working under the active supervision of the chief warden. The premises of the hostel are kept clean and any other grievances are resolved on priority basis. The hostel provides all modern facilities and amenities like 24*7 Wi-Fi facility; 24hrs power supply, medical aid, telephone facilities, laundry facility and basic supplies within the campus. The decorum is strictly maintained at all levels in order to ensure the discipline in the hostel premises.
There is a separate dining area alongside the hostel mess where the freshly cooked food is served to the students. The cyclic menu is followed at the hostel mess and food offered is healthy and nutritious. The evening snack is all time favorite of all the students. Extensive care is taken to maintain the food safety standards of hygiene and cleanliness. A wide range of cultural and social activities are conducted for the students in the hostel from time to time to keep the monotony away. There is also a common room in the hostel for a light entertainment and get- together on daily basis.
Students while away from their homes get to interact with new students from various parts of the country. This helps them to interact, mingle and get aware of different cultures and traditions. They learn to become independent, responsible, attentive, alert, cooperative and decisive. They make new friends & learn to share and care for each other.
