One-Day Workshop on Self Defense – “Suraksha Shakti”

IIMT Shakti Srijan and Women Empowerment Cell of IIMT Engineering College, Meerut, jointly organized a one-day workshop titled “Suraksha Shakti – Self Defense” on 18th November 2025 at Seminar Hall 127. The aim of the workshop was to create awareness about personal safety and empower students, especially young women, with practical self-defense knowledge and techniques.

The event began with a traditional Diya lighting ceremony, symbolizing knowledge, strength, and empowerment. The dignitaries, along with the coordinators, inaugurated the session and emphasized the importance of self-protection and awareness in today’s world.

 

The workshop was conducted by Mr. Ajay Upadhayay, Founder Chairman of AJ Prahaar ek Sankalp Foundation and a seven-time national gold medalist in martial arts. He shared valuable insights on mental alertness, presence of mind, and physical preparedness during emergency situations. He demonstrated various effective and easy-to-learn self-defense moves suitable for real-life applications.

Students actively participated in hands-on training sessions, learning different defense strategies and moves under the expert’s guidance. The session was interactive, engaging, and deeply informative, encouraging students to be confident, aware, and prepared.

At the end of the event, a badge distribution ceremony was conducted to honor and appreciate the dedicated efforts of the Shakti Srijan team members. The badges symbolized leadership, dedication, and commitment towards women’s empowerment and safety initiatives.

 National Engineers’ Day celebrations 

As part of the National Engineers’ Day celebrations at IIMT Engineering College, Meerut (15 September 2025), the Department of CSE (AI) and the Department of AI & DS organized a debate competition on “Bitcoin: The Future of Money?” on Friday, 12 September 2025.

  • The event began with an inspiring address by Director Dr. Dhirendra Dwivedi and was judged by Dr. Vikhyat Singhal (HOD, MBA).

Campus Review and Future Outlook

Following the deliberations, the Board members toured the campus to inspect recent developments. They commended the progress and provided valuable recommendations to elevate the institution's academic standards. It was resolved that all approved measures would be implemented before the new academic session commences on August 18, 2025.

IIMT Mega Recruitment & Internship Drive 2025 – A Grand Success

IIMT Engineering College, Meerut, proudly hosted the Mega Recruitment & Internship Drive 2025 on June 21, bringing outstanding opportunities to over 700 final and pre-final year students from B.Tech, M.Tech, BCA, MCA, BBA, MBA, B.Com, and Nursing programs.

The drive witnessed participation from leading organizations such as Genpact, Wipro, Pacific, Stemrobo, Cipershield, Hike Education, NIIT MTS, Ananta, ERD Technologies, Quesscorp, Techno Minds JS, Perk, Leg Pro, and many more. Over 150 IIMTians received on-the-spot job offers and internship confirmations, marking a significant milestone in their professional journeys.

The event was officially inaugurated with inspiring addresses by Dr. Mayank Agarwal, Managing Director, and Dr. Dhirendra Kumar, Director of IIMT Engineering College. Hon’ble Shri Yogesh Mohanji Gupta, Chairman of IIMT Engineering College, warmly welcomed the visiting HR representatives and dignitaries. During the interaction, the HR delegates applauded Shri Gupta’s visionary leadership and shared a strong intent to collaborate in shaping the future of technical and professional education.

This visit was aimed at providing second-year B.Tech CSE students with real-time exposure to the operational environment of the IT industry.

During the visit, students were warmly welcomed by the CodeSquadz team. The session was led by Mr. Manish Rana, who delivered an impactful presentation on emerging trends in software development, current industry expectations, and diverse career pathways in the IT sector. He also demonstrated real-world project case studies and offered students a practical walkthrough of modern tools and technologies used by professionals.

An interactive Q&A session followed, where students actively participated by asking questions and receiving expert advice on technical skill development, soft skills, and how to stay aligned with evolving industry needs.

510 Army Base Workshop, Meerut Cantt

The students of B. Tech Computer Science and Engineering, accompanied by faculty members, visited the 510 Army Base Workshop located at Meerut Cantonment on 25th April 2025 as part of an industrial exposure program aimed at bridging academic learning with real-world applications.

The 510 Army Base Workshop is a premier Défense maintenance facility under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. It plays a critical role in the overhaul, repair, and modernization of military vehicles, electronics, and communication systems, ensuring combat readiness and operational efficiency of the Indian Army.

During the visit, students were given a guided tour of various sections including:

  • Electronics and Communication Equipment Repair Division
  • Software and Embedded Systems Unit
  • Vehicle Overhaul and Maintenance Bays
  • Digital Diagnostics and Simulation Labs

The officials at the workshop provided valuable insights into the use of advanced computing systems, embedded technologies, and AI-powered diagnostic tools in defense logistics. The CSE students observed the integration of computer systems in real-time monitoring, automated testing, cybersecurity protocols, and software used in military-grade hardware.

The interactive session with senior engineers and defense personnel offered students the opportunity to understand how their field of study is applied in national defense services, exposing them to career opportunities in the defense technology sector.

The quiz unfolded over six dynamic rounds, engaging both participants and the audience alike:

IIMT Engineering College organized Industry-Focused Workshop on Machine Learning Techniques

On April 10, 2025, the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, IIMT Engineering College, Meerut (Ganganagar), in collaboration with Appwars Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Noida, organized a highly engaging One-Day Workshop on “Machine Learning Techniques.”

The event aimed to bridge the gap between academic concepts and industry practices by equipping students with hands-on knowledge in the emerging field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

The session was led by Mr. Alok Kumar, a Data Science Developer from JSS Academy of Technical Education, Noida, who shared his deep practical insights into the field of ML. The workshop covered

. Introduction to Machine Learning with real-world examples
.Python environment setup using NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib & Seaborn
. Live implementation of two ML models with visualization techniques
. Personal learning journey, real-world experience, and model deployment (ANN, CNN)

Alongside the technical session, career guidance and professional development were key highlights. Mr. Alok stressed the value of self-learning, building a GitHub portfolio, maintaining a strong LinkedIn profile, and gaining proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and Looker Studio.

He encouraged students to stay trend-aware, work on personal projects, and focus on time management, aptitude, and communication skills. The importance of maintaining zero backlogs and having a presentable personality in the professional world was also discussed.

Professor Khandal's wealth of experience in academia and research has inspired countless individuals, and we are honored to have him as part of this momentous occasion.

 State Level Sports Fest 2024-25: A Proud Moment in Lucknow
The State Level Sports Fest 2024-25, held in the bustling city of Lucknow, brought together the
most talented athletes from across the state. The event was a vibrant celebration of sporting
excellence, teamwork, and determination, creating an unforgettable experience for all
participants.
Our institution (IIMT Engineering College 127) had the honor of being a part of this grand
event, where our 4×100m relay team clinched the bronze medal, making us immensely

Machine Learning Workshop For B.tech(CSE) Students

Department of Computer Science & Engineering in collaboration with the Industry, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IIEDC) of IIMT Engineering College, Meerut, organized a Workshop on Machine Learning  on 19th October 2024 for 3rd-year Computer Science students.  This event was to foster practical skills in emerging technologies. The workshop was led by Dr. Nitin Sharma, (PhD from DTU, Delhi), working as  in Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, GGSIPU, Delhi. Dr. Sharma shared his extensive knowledge on machine learning, providing students with a hands-on experience in understanding the core concepts and real-world applications of this powerful technology.  The session was inaugurated by Dr. Rajeev Sharma, HOD of the CSE Department, who emphasized the importance of such workshops in bridging the gap between academic learning and industry demands. The event was smoothly coordinated by Mr. Renu Kumar, Assistant Professor in the CSE Department, who ensured an engaging and interactive learning environment. Students gained practical insights into the current trends and future scope of machine learning, making the workshop a significant step toward enhancing their technical acumen and preparing them for the ever-evolving tech landscape. This event was aligned with the vision of the Ministry of Education's Institute Innovation Cell, aiming to inspire innovation and entrepreneurship among students."

Industrial Visit of HCL Noida By B.tech(CSE) Students

On October 16th, 2024 an enriching industry interaction program was held at 
Technologies in Noida, offering engineering students a unique opportunity to experience
the dynamic world of industry firsthand. This event aimed to bridge the gap between
academic knowledge and practical application, allowing students to witness cutting-
edge technologies in action. Through engaging presentations and live demonstrations,
participants gained invaluable insights into industry practices and expectations. Such
initiatives are pivotal in equipping students with the skills and knowledge necessary for
their future careers, fostering a deeper understanding of the ever-evolving landscape of
engineering.
The students explored HCL's state-of-the-art facilities, including data centers and
software development labs, and engaged in interactive sessions with professionals to
discuss industry trends, challenges, and best practices. The efforts of Mr. Neeraj Gupta,
Mr. Tarun Aswasthi, Mr. Renu Kumar, and Ms. Soniya (Assistant Professors - CSE)
along with Dr. Rajeev Sharma (HOD - CSE) was appreciative in organizing this program
successfully for making this industrial visit a remarkable success.

CSE dept. of IIMT Eng. College has organised an event on 09-oct-2024.

On the auspicious occasion of Vijay Dashmi, we have witnessed a cheerful yet learning event in our CSE department on 9th October 2024. We unanimously organized a quiz competition namely Ramayan Rumble: The Epic Quest. There were 12 teams each team consisted of 3 participants. With the divine presence of our Director, Dr. Dhirendra Kumar and Head of the Department, Dr. Rajeev Sharma, the event has been a complete success. There were total four rounds in the competition like 1st round: The Warm up round , 2nd round: The Trivia Trek , 3rd round: The Buzzer Round and 4th round: Rapid Fire. Each round was an elimination for smooth functioning of the competition. The all rounder efforts of the organising committee members namely Dr. Vandana Agarwal, Ms. Yukta Chauhan , Mr.Saurabh Tyagi and student Coordinator Arsalan, the event has been truly remarkable and it was appreciated by all the audience. First position : Radhika,Komal and Sadain from B.tech III year, CSE Second position: Priyanshu Pal, Prashant Pundir and Samarath from B.Tech II year, CSE Third position: Aditya raj,Arjun Singh and Rishu from B.Tech II year, CSE.

Internal Hackathon for Smart India Hackathon 2024

The much-anticipated Smart India Hackathon 2024, one of the largest open innovation models, took place on 06-sep-2024 with great enthusiasm and showcased the exceptional talent of young innovators from across the country. This year, the event room has witnessed the participation of four dynamic teams named Brainspire, APK Guardian, Visionary Leaders and FIT TECH SQUAD, who presented unique problem statements from different ministries as posed by the Government of India and their dynamic yet feasible solutions.

The event fosters innovation and creativity among young minds, encouraging them to come up with solutions that can transform governance and address key challenges in different sectors. Presence of hundreds of participants has made it a thrilling experience. 

The Esteemed Director of IIMT Engineering College Prof. (Dr.) Dhirendra Kumar has marked his presence in the event with the vision of continuous success and growth in student’s career. He also inspired students to come forward and showcase their knowledge, skills in order to make the event more successful.

The Head of Department of CSE, Dr. Rajeev Sharma congratulated all the participating teams for their innovative ideas and commend their dedication to solving real-life problems. He has also provided appreciation and valuable corrections that will result in overall betterment of the project along with the advancement in student's vision. 

Event coordinator Mr. Navnish Goel, has dedicatedly put his efforts to make this a victorious and fruitful event. He coordinated with students at all point of time and tasks and helped them with their confusions and tasks.

The judges Dr. Rajeev Sharma, Dr. Sandeep Singh Sanger and Mr. Manish Kumar blessed us with their presence and they have provided their valuable feedbacks and judgment to all the participants with the intent of successful project completion and they guided student with all their best wishes which will help the students to touch new horizons of growth and success.
